2nd Pillar: A supportive community

Hello readers! Today, we’re thrilled to share insights about the 3 pillars that Nataoka follows. This time, we will talk about our second pillar: A supportive community. 

It is with our commitment to foster a workplace where women feel empowered, safe, and valued. As you know, we are proud to say that we are a woman-led business that supports the idea of empowering women. We want our team to feel secure, comfortable and where everyone’s voice is heard, and collaboration thrives. Join us as we explore what makes our workplace a welcoming environment for all.

First, a safe workspace is such a significant factor. We ensure that our space is protected from discrimination or any kinds of harassment. Furthermore, we gladly welcome open communication and give staff members a variety of avenues to express their worries, knowing that they will be taken seriously and dealt with. We wish to obtain a supportive community fostering a sense of belonging and connection among all members. 

Following the legacy of Desi, an opportunity arises for women. Our warehouse is meant to locate near the home of many where it is convenient for them to come to work. She wanted the women in her hometown to have activities and express their talent. With this motive, here in Nataoka, all women, even those in villages can work and join our community. 

When it comes to growth, it is highly significant that we have a support system in our surroundings. We want everyone in Nataoka to feel comfort and joy while working. How do we maintain this atmosphere, you might ask? Well, for starters, Desi loves to interact with everyone here in Nataoka. Every year, there will be events or gatherings where we would get to know each other deeper and be more connected. There was even an event where we bring our families and gathered to participate in games or competition, a little outbound event if you will. It was such a refreshment and blast for everyone! We hope that every year we grow closer and supportive towards one another, making Nataoka better for us and for you.
